We recently received the following message from the Province Group, buyers of the school district property.
“Our project has been delayed for several months due to recent events and, as such, our closing will not occur until after the City lease and your sublease expires, so any requests for an extension would need to be directed to the property owner, Palm Springs Unified School District.”
We have shared this information with Mayor Moon and Councilman Mills asking if the City would be willing to extend our current lease arrangement if, in fact, the school district is willing to do so. Mayor Moon responded by saying that this needs to be discussed with the City Manager and the City Attorney.
