Summer is Almost Here — Bring on the Heat!
With summer fast approaching, we all want to take a moment and thank everyone for our best season ever. In the 2011-2012 season, we saw record-breaking amounts of tennis being played at the Plaza.
We hope that everyone enjoyed our wonderful tournaments, barbeques, fun and frolic for all. We greatly value your membership and through your support and participation, our club continues to flourish.
First and foremost, we want to communicate the summer schedule to you. Due to member demand, we will be keeping the Pro-Shop open this summer during June and July. The club will be open daily from 7:00am – 11:00am and closed on Tuesdays. Bill will be doing game arranging, racquet stringing, sales and tennis services during that time. In August, we will be unlocking the gates for members play each day, but the Pro-Shop will be closed. Members will be arranging their own matches during August.
Congratulations to our Men’s U.S.T.A. 4.0 and 4.5 teams. Both teams won the desert league championships and will go on to compete in regionals this July. Many thanks to our captains Rob Cambell, Rob Piepho, Dean Yuen and John Marin for their excellent organizational skills. Next season we will have a full complement of both men’s and women’s league teams, so be prepared to sign up this fall.
