ATTN MEMBERS: Save the Plaza Racquet Club

Attention Members:

As many of you know the Palm Springs Unified School District who currently owns this property is in escrow with a developer.  This developer is in the planning stages to build high density condominiums on this property sometime next fall.

The City of Palm Springs who built this Tennis facility and Pro Shop is working on two different possibilities.   The first to make the property a “historic site” based on the architecture of the building and canopy.   The second could be to relocate the Plaza Racquet Club to another property.

We are asking our membership and visitors to write letters/emails of support to our new city council and new mayor Bob Moon.   Additionally, we are asking you to write “letters to the editor” of the Palm Springs Desert Sun.  Contact email and addresses are listed below.

We will do our best to keep you posted on updates on our bulletin board as they become available to us.   Please understand this is a difficult time for us, as we are extremely busy with the day to day operations of the club.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of the Plaza Racquet Club.   As always, we will do our best to provide you with a first class, affordable choice that maintains a higher quality of life for our community and our out of town visitors.

Kurt & Ana Haggstrom
