Welcome Back!
Well, the hot summer is winding down and the cooler weather is just around the corner. We hope your summer was filled with good times, good friends and especially plenty of tennis. We warmly welcome you back for another fun filled season of tennis at the Plaza Racquet Club.
A reminder for all our members to take advantage of our game arranging services. If you would like to play more tennis-it’s as easy as a phone call. Just ask us to find you a game. This service is part of your membership privileges, and all we ask is for 24 hours notice.
Congratulations to both our Men’s 4.0 and 4.5 teams for winning the Coachella Valley’s USTA league. Both teams competed in Long Beach this summer and had fantastic results. Although neither team advanced past regional’s in July, both teams were extremely competitive.
Our new season will kick off with our Welcome Back Doubles Social on Sunday October 21st at 9:30am. Sign-up in the pro-shop for this (always) fun filled mixed doubles round robin and potluck brunch.
On November 9-11 we will be holding our Club Doubles Championships. We will have 4 flights of competitive play, so pick your partner and start practicing! If you do not have a partner, we will be happy to find one for you!
As you will see from our tennis schedule, there are many opportunities during our season to improve your game through our clinics, lessons and tournament play.
